Dear SEPTA General Manager Joe Casey:

SEPTA's policy of requiring an M or F sticker on weekly and monthly passes discriminates against individuals who are transgender or whose appearance does not fit expected gender norms. This policy causes harassment to gender non-conforming passengers, creates safety risks for passengers by alerting others to their differences, and creates economic hardship for those who are denied use of their pass and are forced to pay another fare. Furthermore, SEPTA has not produced any data or evidence to support the claim that this policy effectively reduces fraud.

I urge you to change this policy immediately. SEPTA passes do not need M or F stickers.
